I was rereading Jinbes cover story and came across this. Weird how I thought nothing of it at the time but its pretty well timed looking at it now.

In the chapter subtitled 'Laws past is revealed', guess what happens in the cover story? A poneglyph is recovered from a city home to sea monsters underwater. And Law did say that his middle name, Water, had a story to it but he either wasn't told the story or forgot.

One thing to keep in mind, is that we haven't heard of any D's in the void century yet, so maybe Law will be the first D to have any involvement in it. It seems possible to me. What do you think?

No, that's not related to the Void Century or Jinbe's cover story. Apparently, Oda's editors did that to advertise Volume 76 where Luffy and Law reached Doflamingo, and Law's flashback was shown. See other cover pages like that:

Notice how it's all, like, 20 chapters after all that stuff actually happened in the manga. If you don't know the reason, it's super confusing and misleading.
P.S. And here's the cover for chapter 781. It says "the battle against the Donquixote Family executives heats up", but Trebol is the only executive left at that point, lol. Couldn't they milk their audience for money in a way that doesn't look so stupid?
