It seems jack and Aku have a yin yang relationship to eternally fight I think in the end to really kill Aku might mean to kill jack. I'm not totally sold on the idea since jack is destined to return to the past but at this point it seems these battles have taken a toll on jack internally and he wants to end it so he can rest.
