People often say nagatos jutsu (rinne tensei) was unable to revive jiraiya due to the time and that could be but there is no proof of a time limit to rinne tensei (refer obito/madaras plan to revive madara with rinne tensei).


So why do we not have jiraiya back to life?? Well things are much worse than you think. Imagine if rinne tensei actually revived jiraiya and he did come back to life (did I hear you say "yay jiraiya alive"?) well no.

Kabuto s reason for not being able to revive jiraiya is that he is at the bottom of the sea in the hidden rain village where the water pressure is to strong for a human to survive. (I think you know where this is going now... Keep a plastic bag beside you for the next part)

Could it be that jiraiya was revived successfully only to find himself at the bottom of the sea surrounded completely by water to make him drown within the next 5 minutes and choking every last piece of oxygen out of his newly acquired life coupled with the pressure of the bottom of the sea breaking every bone in his body. His mind filled with one single thought "why was I brought back whyyyyyyy??

Jiraiya s death scene just got real..

I doubted , Kabutos manda could go underwater probably even more deeper + his blood was all over the place after his death & the last thing , Oro's lab might even have some Jiraya Dna , he might comeback & reunite with Tsunade & oro with kabutos help or he might not come back at all , cause his death meant something ....no reason on why kishi would make it mean something & then revive him again :/

Why would Nagato bring back Jiraiya his body is at the bottom of the fking Ocean. And no his dath wasn't sad none of the characters death has made sad so far, except for Neji and that was just a little. The only anime's that bothered me with charcater deaths are Death note, and Attack on titan

and yeah i agree with you about rinne tensei doesnt have time limit..since madara was about to perform it..he isnt an idiot..he knows a lot about every jutsu..
by this 'timeline doent affect' logic..
jiraiya should have been revived.
