I'm tired of having to read this nonsense time and again about how Gai should have died.
Yes he should have died.
Yes, the effects of the eight gates had been built up since part 1.
So why didn't he die?
Because Kishi is a bad writer who can't kill off characters?

Wasn't that Naruto's goal throughout this whole story, to not let his comrades fall.
