I'm not even a mecha fan and I think this a great series because it's a good story good characters and gives you feels.

Season 1 starts of to okay to really good at the end. Season 2 just takes this series to another level, you got to watch it to season 2 to really get the pay off. It's more than good it's great.

But really the majority of the series is rooted within politics and trying to make the protagonists' homeland of Mars into an independent colony where equality can thrive and aren't reliant on child slaves and "human debris". Where season one has a lot of these things as a focus, season two exemplifies that, and shows that just because something may end on a good note, doesn't mean it will for everyone. Mari Okada's done a great job with IBO so far, I really think its worth checking out.

What about the MC? I really don't like the type of MC that just talks and doesn't back anything up like naruto.

Mikazuki's the kind who will kill someone just because he was told to, so if thats your kind of protagonist you might like this.
