I honestly think the position will fall to Naruto, Jiraiya, Minato and Itachi. The First Three - Throughout their lives, they've looked for a way to establish peace. Like Nagato, when their will is broken, hell knows what could happen. Itachi as well. If he realized that he can no longer protect Konoha or Sasuke and becomes evil, again, with his power and those eyes, we cannot even ponder what he'd do.
