Shino is cool to watch for a while, but his powers are boring, so I can't stand him long in battle.

Kiba is fun to watch but his powers are also boring and he gets annoying later down.

Hinata is boring to watch and her powers are also boring.

Don't forget, they're trackers. You won't enough watching their battles. According to me, Team 8 got just the right amount of screentime.

They are definitely set up to be a tracking squad, but with Hinata's byakugan and Shino's bugs; they would also make a good espionage/spy squad. To be a fly on the wall, during a secret meeting of rival villages, or Hinata using her byakugan to see the layout of a stronghold and detect traps and genjutsu for her team. Kiba and Akamaru are the attack force of the squad, but Shino, Hinata and Kurenai can operate covertly. Maybe get back to that grounded ninja theme the series started with. Before things became giant bijuus, village busting jutsus and hugh susanno avatars.

Hinata got enough attention. Kiba is a scrub whose actions can't match his words. It would've been interesting if Kurenai got some development, the guy who definitely needed more attention is Shino. He's a fairly interesting character - basically the Shikamaru of his team, and I would've loved it if Kishi developed his backstory a bit more.

I like the idea. I was only speaking about how interesting they would be to watch in a battle.

Well, Kurenai became irrelevant after Itachi solo'd the so called "genjutsu mistress" of the Leaf with no diff, thus she was written off in Shippuden as being pregnant.

Really hated that, I sort of liked her.

Ot I wanted more of the teams, mainly team guy:shy:

Someone who doesn't enjoy Hyuuga Taijutsu in play worries me.

Hyuuga's in battle are a work of art if they were portrayed with their correct martial arts which is what the Gentle Fist was based on. Too bad Kishimoto is a horrible choreographer

Kiba was fodder-ey. His wanting to become hokage jokes weren't funny. Shino was smart & strong but boring and easily forgotten. More Hinata can never hurt.

The last pics of them are pretty cool.

More Jiraiya. More ninja fights. Less aliens.

It doesn't really matter what Hyuga taijutsu is based on or how interesting it would be if depicted then and that way. Kishimoto's portrayal is prioritized here whether good or bad, and how good Hyuga taijutsu is depends on that. Its original form is irrelevant in deciding how captivating it is to watch as of now.

And regardless of that, @bold why is that so intriguing? Everyone has their different taste in the kind of fights they like. My type is more like Lee's, Sasuke's or SM Naruto's Pain Arc taijutsu. Frankly, as it is portrayed, Hyuga taijutsu is quite limited even in taijutsu category. There is not much entertainment and thrill in it.

I enjoyed Neji to quite some extent because not only his taijutsu was comparatively stylish but because of his overall battle persona. Hinata, not so much. And it isn't just about her not so interesting taijutsu, overall she isn't an interesting to watch character either. I can't remember any fight of Hinata I genuinely enjoyed.
