The real rain man? Seen a documentary about savants. There's another one who can learn a new language in a week, he's a so called 'prodigal savant', he shows no sings of autism at all, maybe a bit withdrawn from society though. Daniel Tammet is his name:

Yepp! Check out the link, it is a documentary about it. He learns Icelandic in a week! It's considered one of the most difficult languages to learn to boot!

Yes. I believe it's because the 2 sides of their brain are fused together, that's why he can't forget anything. The weakness though, is yeah, he remembers everything.
