-You can't pick the role to become Hokage-

OK, recently Naruto and Sasuke fap boys have been going around making threads about who should be Hokage in their eyes; and that's find, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But this is my issue. You don't go around bashing because you want your favorite character to become Hokage. It just doesn't work that way. You don't become Hokage by showing feats or being strong. Hokage is a title given to those who can be strong enough to stand for their Village. You don't necessary need to be "Kaguya Strong" to become Hokage. Main point of becoming Hokage is to have those acknowledge you. Everyone is destined to whatever future they have. This is how the story is play. You should treat the title as it was not your own but your village own. If we in a war, we should make sure to be strong enough and don't let those tarnish your wills. If everyone lost their wills there will be no point of a village. What makes people go on day by day is the fact to never give up, Keep moving forward, don't let those people blind your path because their path is blind. A village can't survive by one who rules and sparks fear through his name. A village survives because everyone chips in for a better future. Even if they have Feudal Lords, Kages or Elders. It takes the community to make a Village. Without the peoples faith and trust how can one become Hokage? Just ask yourself, why do you think Hagaromo said the "most strongest power is by having cooperation"? Also meaning with the cooperation with your village and your allies. You can simply empower someone's will by sticking together and playing as a team. This is number rule of beating anyone who said to be the strongest. Being to over power only blinds the person and they lose control of themselves. This is why those who seek power or have the wrong set of mind tend to lose. This is just many ways how story tends to end.

But the Hokage must be strong. He is the villages ultimate defenses and the line that prevents danger. If Hashirama wasn't strong enough to stop Madara, if Minato wasn't strong enough to stop Obito, Konoha would be rubble. Hokage is the peacekeeper for all and must possess the strength, virtue, and love necessary to defend what he loves and not allow harm to come to his people.

Then please explain how Danzo was about to become Hokage and everyone hated him. He only lost the opportunity b/c he got greedy and tried to manipulate the Shinobi alliance and got caught. If he would have never mind-****ed the Samurai Leader he would have been the Hokage off of pure power, cause not many people in the village knew of him or liked him!

Yeah but he had to gain the village trust first to be where he is at, the higher ups. You can't say no one trust him because he always done things secretly. He basically was a two faced. He did what he had to do to gain that respect and trust. He also pressure the Elders and Feudal Lords in many occasions. He was manipulative. It all has to do with politics. He was also a representative of the leaf for many years. Like I said he did everything secret. He wasn't strong but he made sure he to keep his real motive secret and come closer to become trustworthy by manipulating.

Oh I'm not disputing that; I agree completely. But the Hokage must be a strong shinobi to protect his people. Like Obito and Kyuubi's assault on Konoha. The many ninjas of Konoha were locked in battle and unable to assist the Hokage. Minato's skill and power were crucial to the city still standing. Put somebody smart but not that strong, like Shikakaru, in that role and the city and everyone inside is lost.

A Hokage must be the best of both worlds. Loving but strong, benevolent but powerful, cherished but stalwart. The Hokage is the base of the village and it must be one that can lead, support, and defend everybody. All I'm saying.

Based your thread sasuke isn't fit to be hokage. In my opinion it would be a slap in the face to naruto, if he were to become hokage. Naruto's earned the right to be hokage. If sasuke really wants to be hokage he's gonna have to earn it and wait line.

Of course, that's what it is and that's exactly why its NARUTO. Sasuke will gain some recognition after this war, but they'll be dealing with forgiving him and not making him a leader. Naruto was already a Hokage candidate before he beat Pain, that's what Tsunade told Jiraiya as he was leaving. and After Pain arc, it was visibly his because EVERYONE in Konoha watched how he fought hard. Those konoha civilians and the few ninjas left behind in Konoha dont know what Sasuke is doing in the war now, they'll all still see him as a vallain and long speeches and explanations will be given to them about his acts. But the real hero of the war and of the leaf is NARUTO.

Nope, Danzo didnt become Hokage, he hadn't obtained the VOTE OF TRUST from the jounin council. He was just acting because he forced the feudal Lord to give him the seat in the emergency meeting, still the Jounin council hadn't agreed. And that was why he wanted to manipulate that gokage meeting so that power will be given to him there and the Konoha Jounins wont have any choice again. Meanwhile, Kakashi had obtained the vote but the seat was yet to be conferred on him before Tsunade awoke.

you can't choose to be hokage. at the end of the manga, Tsunade will still be homage, unless it ends by cutting forward 20-30 years and shows a few minutes of that.

According to me a Hokage should be strong,but need not be the strongest.Must love the village and its people.Must be a good leader so as to inspire others.Should be smart enough to take bold and right decision.
Being Hokage is not measured by the number of jutsus one knows,but the ability to use it at the perfect time with nice strategy.
