The living always get better at doings than the dead. Just d way naruto got improve rasegan than minato, madara kept on living and learning more justu and even awoken the rinnegan. Current obito will solo itachi. We know that when great characters dies there is some power that will never be overtaken, like minato's speed, raikage fathers body, itachi's tusokayomi, shushi's kotoamaskuki etc. If itachi was still alive it would be hard to say, bcos both have red uchiha family tablet and know all hidden secrets. One thing is that, if itachi has the knowledge that obito has, he will defeat him bcos he knows how to analyse a situation, but if obito absorb him to his dimesion it is over for itachi. The point here is don't underestimate this characters, they are both great.

im a different type of anime/manga fan. I respect character boost thru out the series even borrowed, stolen, or given power and/or abilities, but when i compare characters in strength and speed and skill etc i think of the person's god given (Born with) abilities that they have enhanced due to hard work and effort (obito kumai, kakashi chidori, itachi's skill intellect and sharingan) Not the access. Why you ask? well simply its kinda like a cheat code. like danzo stealing sharingans. like WTF! is that sh!t lol he was already extreamly skilled (sadly old) but adding that crap made him a Sh!t load harder to beat. its not urs. why would u get satisfaction from beating some one with some one elses ability? Their are exceptions like sasuke with itachi eyes. Its an uchiha thing a family thing. And naruto with the 9 tails he technically had it at birth grew with it and gained power thru time. But kakashi's sharingan is a cheap ploy. so is madara and obito wit the 1st cells. So if u think of obito's god given techniques, and skill i will have to say itachi will win with ease. (no fanboy here i have no fav character.) but if u do insist on adding aquired abilities then yes obito will beat itachi with ease

OP: I don't know if Obito knew Itachi had the sacred treasures which made his Susano invincible stated by Zetsu. I still think it would be difficult for Obito to defeat him. The mirror deflects all attacks and the sword seals anything it touches.... U_U

the only version of Obito Itachi can beat is the 14-yo one who didn't have kamui. once obito mastered kamui he became the second strongest uchiha after madara, it's that simple. Itachi has zero ways to defeat Obito. genjutsu, amaterasu, totsuka don't work, izanami won't work either, the bomb clone isn't powerful enough, all itachi has left after that are weapons and c-rank fire attacks and there's no way he'll be able to hit obito with those, let alone defeat him.
