This is the most epic moment in their fight! It's when Goku was completely in touch with his true self, it's as if becoming a Super Saiyan awakened him to his ideals. He evolved in body and in spirit. Goku has been protecting his friends since he was a kid. But this fight was different, this time he wasn't just fighting for his friends and family, Goku was fighting for the whole universe, thats how big a threat Frieza was. Goku absolutely needed to win, and thats why he became a Super Saiyan....

That line.."You can destroy planets but you can never destroy what I am..." speaks volumes about Goku's true metamorphosis. He didn't just become super strong through his change, this power brought him a clearer view of himself and reality. He knew that his change was for a reason and not just something spontaneous. Goku became the embodiment of truth and ideals. That is what he means, now that he was given this power, he was much more than just a powerful being. He was an ideal, and as an ideal he is indestructible.

I believe that it's moments like this one that truly inspired our beloved Kishimoto as a child. It's what allowed Kishi Sensei to create something a lot more than just a run of the mill anime protagonist(Naruto) and even antagonist(Obito).

Kishi was perfectly able to portray the greatest limitation of the human mind on both ends of the spectrum.

Greatness gives rise to more greatness.

This is my favorite moment from Dragonball Z. It's why I respect and love Naruto so much!

The Frieza portion of the Namek Saga was the prime of the "Z" part of Dragon Ball; back when Martial Arts still had some. . Pull.

The battle between these two titans was amazing! By far my favorite fight in Anime/manga history. This is just one of the many moments both characters had that made the tension and excitement rise. Truly an example on how anime scenes should be done; if only those who write the Naruto anime would listen. . .

Frieza 100%>= Initial SSJ Gok (Before he could control it. That is, if he had better stamina.

Mecha Frieza> SSJ Trunks.

Goku says it himself in 5 different ways, "I am Truth....", "I am the hope of the Universe....". You're telling me that NONE of those sentences rang a bell in that tiny little head of yours? That's just sad.

Look, I know your mentality is like...."this is just a cartoon for fun and fight scenes". I know you're kind of people couldn't give two shits about the messages in stories like this one and Naruto. A lot of it has to do with your own life and the way you view things. I know people like yourself believe they are very practical and understand life, so if anything you come across even remotely resembles spiritual knowledge, you shoot it down right away. People like you respect only one thing.............death, so you do practically nothing and live out your lives in wait for it.

I'm just glad that I am nothing like you.
