You can choose two existing alternative endings to Naruto that are not made by fans

This is not supposed to be canon alternative but it is an alternative nonetheless.

First one is a simple idea that fans have all rights to interpret differently. When Madara activated Mugen Tsukuyomi, everything shown after that is an illusion.

The second one is a game ending.

After fighting 5 Kage, Madara got bored and decided to go away. Kage consider it their victory, Madara considers he showed mercy and spared them. In the meanwhile Naruto got Bijuu mode and broke Masked man's mask. Masked man is not revealed and he retreats leaving his identity a mystery.

After that, the war is over. Naruto is the strongest of the good guys and acknowledged as a hero. Everyone is happy. But the world is not at peace. And it won't be as long as the danger remains.

Naruto will someday have to face Madara and the masked man, as well as Sasuke who has just gotten his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

I am not trying to imply it was not canon. I find it an excellent idea and one of the most plausible. In fact, I was one of the first with this idea and even made a thread to make people think about it. Unfortunately, most were not capable of understanding this idea. Even though it is a simple one, they somehow can't truly grasp it. Their words might say they do but their supposed understanding does not show it.

Anyway, I didn't want to argue about canonicity of this idea because it would derail into multiple posts insulting me that I am just a fanboy writing fanfiction. I am sure you understand.

It leaves a lot of possibilities and none of the things that happened with Kaguya. Masked man could still be anyone. And only thing known about Madara is power and personality he has shown during his fight with 5 Kage.

I would prefer the second one as well. This way Naruto and Sasuke can both learn to use their powerup. Have Sasuke go off training with Orochimaru, Juugo and Suigetsu for like 2-4 years. Naruto can be trained to master his Shunshin by A, Bee, and/or Kakashi, finish his KM training with Bee while also starting his BM training with Bee, improve his taijutsu with Gai/Kakashi/Bee/A, ect... For 2-4 years while using his shadow clones to gain faster experiences.

Storm 3's ending gets too much flack but it was necessary within the context. Honestly I would've preferred it if there was a small break between the gigantic war & Tobi fight and the Obito/Madara/Kaguya crap.
