Another thread reminded me of this anime I watched when I was a kid, it was on AZN television (a now defunct tv station that played asian related programming and sometimes anime.)
This is in my opinion one of the greatest animes of all time, up there with Cowboy Bebop for me, please do yourself a grand favor and check it out. You won't be disappointed. This is not what it seems like at the beginning of the show, the vibe completely changes as you watch the episode, and the series, and it's only 13 episodes.
