You are wrong if you say that powerful battles have no strategy or aren't ninja like.

The fights are strategic don't get me wrong but some of the bigger fights really just are whoever has the biggest guns or lasers or magic shields. (Current fight, Naruto & Sasuke VS Obito, most of the edo tenseis)

What people mean when they say strategy fights are fights that capture the simplified and yet very complex feel of the Part 1 fights. The last one of those was Sasuke VS Deidara IMO, a key example of how this argument is VERY true (although your examples are good) is the example of Sasuke Uchiha. A guy who used to fight almost solely with Taijutsu and was a genius ninja using his terrain to his advantage with Shuriken, Fire Style, Comrades, Curse Mark, Summonings, Lightning Style etc. now has this giant warrior magic super shield covering him at all times which means he can stand on the spot and spew out arrows and amateresu. Sasuke is a character who has been ruined by dumb powers, the same as Kakashi and to a lesser extent- Kabuto.

Why would you need to use the terrain and interesting (fun to watch) techniques when you have a giant purple shield to do it for you? He uses the thing to BUST DOWN WALLS instead of having to use the door -.-

That just means that Shino didn't train hard enough or smart enough. Don't even bring up the fact that Naruto had Kurama and Sasuke has sharingan because they also both have chakara nature (unlike Shino). Sasuke is very skilled with his lightning style. It even helped him beat Deidara, Orochimaru and Itachi. Naruto has sage mode and collaboration jutsus with his summons that he trained for. Therefore Naruto and Sasuke did legitimately get stronger by training. Therefore, Shino has no room to complain. He just needs to train more and seek out a better sensei like Naruto and Sasuke did with their respective sanin.

In Shino's defense i do not believe it would be possible for him to be able to perform real elemental ninjutsu, since his bugs are always feeding on his chakra. And all Aburames can only really use bugs and ninja tools. And that is really enough since they can drain chakra from their opponents and the Kidaichu can really be extremely dangerous... and on top of that...

I respect what you are saying, but I must disagree. Take the current fight for instance. That sand technique that Gaara used to immobilize Madara was brilliant. Because of that technique, the bijuus were able to play pinball with Madara as the ball! Not even Hashirama has been able to whoop Madara like that. This was clearly a very strategic jutsu. Yet that technique was in no way explosive or laser like. Another example is Minato and Tobirama's jutsu where they switch places using ftg. With that technique, they were able to fool 10 tails Obito, who was arguably the series' most powerful threat to date! Yet once again, ftg is in no way explosive or laser like. Also take Hashirama's flower world jutsu. It puts opponents to sleep and its range is huge because it is a forest after all! An attack that puts people to sleep could defeat even DBZ characters if they get caught in that pollen (don't attack me DBZ fans). Yet once again, that jutsu is not an explosion! I think the problem is that people hear the word "power" and they automatically assume that it is an explosion or a laser. When I say power however, I am talking about techniques with great effects (not just explosions and large craters. That is only one part of it.) You mentioned Kabuto. DSM Kabuto's techniques are a perfect example of what I mean when I say techniques with great effects. You can beat a planet buster if you are able to paralyze him with a white light dragon or if you can stab him with the earth itself. Those jutsus are not explosions, but they are still really powerful because they are really effective. Do you see what I mean? You can have both power and strategy without destroying a galaxy. You don't have to be as weak as they were in part 1. Furthermore, Kishi often includes morals in his story. One of the main ones is that you need to endure in life. How is Kishi going to depict endurance if the opponents stay so weak that the heroes have nothing to really endure? If anything, he'd be telling kids that life is always going to stay as easy as it was when you were 5 years old. That is saying that life will get no harder. There will be no challenge. To me, a life like that is boring and a manga like that is boring. I'd much rather see hard work pay off and see heroes overcome increasingly difficult adversity than see lame little spy kids that call themselves ninjas fight severely nerfed opponents so that nothing ever gets too difficult for them and I get no good action. Now it's possible that I may have been spoiled at a young age because DBZ was the first battle anime that I watched in depth, and as a result my standards for power got too high. However, I personally like to compare power of different animes. I personally do not want to see an anime that is so weak that they don't stand a chance against anyone from any other anime! Seriously! Part 1 Naruto could barely beat Bowser from the Mario series! That absolutely had to change! That is why I support the current battles over the part 1 battles.

I'm not just talking about bijuus Senjus and Uchihas. I'm talking about people like Minato (before death) who could still solo armies and defeat the mangekyou sharingan wielding Obito while not being Uchiha, Senju, Uzumaki and not yet being a jinchuuriki. I'm talking about the people like Onoki and Deidara that have jutsus that dismantle molecules and destroy on a cellular level. I'm talking about the people like DSM Kabuto that can paralyze you with a white light dragon or the people like SM Jiraiya who can use genjutsu like the one he used on Pain. When I say power, I mean more than just explosions. I mean techniques with great effects. There were very few of those in part 1. It is not fun to watch a show where the hero is so weak that a goomba (from Mario) can beat him!
