The 1st step is recognizing there's a problem no? Though I totally agree with your sentiment in this matter. You'd be surprised by how many people people are unknowingly racist, meaning they have no real ill will toward them but have been raised around a number of misconceptions regarding any particular race...even their own in some cases.
