Wow, kakashi is one of my favourite characters, when jaraiya died I thought it sucked, but I guess if that's what brings the story together.

I don't know, as much as I like Kakashi I don't associate with him that closely. Also, people dying and coming back in Pain's attack on Konoha seemed a little contrived. I think death is a necessary part of a good story.

That being said, I almost cried when Jiraiya died.
