I actually don't see how relevancy goes hand in hand with lyrical skill. A rapper can be great lyrically, without having a bunch of attention or relevance to the mainstream hip hop game. Likewise, just because someone is very popular and relevant in the industry, that doesn't automatically put their lyrical skills on point. I'm lookin at u Lil Wayne, Chance.
