Engineering is quite the interesting degree a few of my friends are graduating this year with that degree and they all love it, so I hope you do as well! It can definitely be challenging and time-consuming though so be prepared! I've also played Chess a bit, but I'm not very skilled so I'm not very sure how great I'd be against you haha.
