Yomiko is a bespectacled young, teenage girl of English and Japanese descent. She has a slender build and stands at a height above average for her age; has very long, straight, often unkempt violet-black hair, and dark blue eyes. Yomiko is always seen wearing the same clothing her Library uniform: red tie, a modest simple white blouse, a brown waistcoat and a long black skirt, as well as a trenchcoat. Sometimes, she opts to swap her necktie for a small red ribbon instead, but most of the time, Yomiko only wears one outfit. Yomiko sports black, square-rimmed glasses and, for an unknown reason, refuses to remove them even when sleepingPersonality:
Yomiko is a bespectacled substitute teacher and an introvert. Yomiko is introverted and has bibliomania, often preferring the company of books over people. She goes to extreme lengths to hold onto and finish reading something she has started; for example, when attacked by a giant insect, she is more concerned that the insect's rider stole the book she was reading than by the insect itself. A bibliophile, she prefers to bury herself in her books. She spends almost all of her income on books, and her "apartment" is stacked floor to ceiling with books.
While a capable Hunter-nin, Yomiko is extremely kind-hearted by nature and exceedingly polite. She tends to believe everyone is inherently good, and has difficulty thinking of even her enemies as bad people. Her idea of asking someone to surrender is, "Please, don't" (or "Please give me back my book"). In fighting she tends towards defense and incapacitation, and only wounds or kills when she is faced with no other alternative. Yomiko's occupation as a school teacher is natural reflection of her nature, as she often feels drawn to both protecting and providing mentorship to young people.

Yomiko Hikami was born to Kamiko Nakajima and Hiroki Hikami in Amegakure. When she was young, Yomiko's family was killed during the Second Shinobi World War, and she was left to fend for herself. With her family gone, a young Yomiko was forced to wander the country, going from house to house asking for food. Some time later, at the brink of death, Yomiko met a rouge group of full-fledged Amegakure ninja; the Akatsuki organisation lead by a man named Yahiko. The Akatsuki rescued her and brought her back to their hideout which from that point onwards, she became a member of Akatsuki herself learning the basic shinobi skills under the personal tutelage of one Akatsuki's top members: Konan or "Lady Angel". Being brought up by the Akatsuki themselves, Yomiko shared the philosophies of the organisation's members and eventually, when she was capable, joined the Akatsuki in their quest to find peace. Yomiko became an extraordinary kunoichi and became one of the most respected members of the Akatsuki, and recognised as one of the most powerful members. That is, Yomiko played a pivotal role in the Amegakure civil war; assassinating many powerful enemy ninja affiliated with Hanzō. In time, she became Konan's right hand woman and gained the title of "Little" Lady Angel or "Lady Angel Jnr".
With the Amegakure civil war ended, Yomiko set off to travel to different villages in her personal quest of books and in general, knowledge. She has traveled to many places and, at present, resides in Kirigakure from which she has become a member of after many months being imprisoned due to her past affiliation with Akatsuki. At the present time though, Yomiko has become a Kirigakure member/villager and is currently serving as both a substitute sensei/teacher and a renowned Hunter-nin for the village.

Despite her demeanor, Yomiko is an immensely dangerous kunoichi with skills that were held in high regard by her mentor, Konan. In the past, her opponents have highly underestimated her leading them to lose their lives. She appears to be both extremely knowledgeable and analytical, being able to discern the exact location of her opponents and even being able to discern the exact method used to locate her position almost immediately after detection, seemingly without any prior information concerning the technique in question. Yomiko also has an amazing natural talent for origami and after training with Konan, was able to form paper weapons infused with her chakra.

Even as a child, Yomiko has shown a natural talent for origami and, with the help of Konan, had developed it into her main ninjutsu. Using Konan's unique transformation technique called Dance of the Shikigami, Yomiko can turn her entire body and clothing into thousands of sheets of paper, which she can control at will and form into any shape or colour. To travel long distances, she can fold them into butterflies or planes for powered flight, and to attack, she hardens the sheets to the point when it is as hard as steel and folds them into arrows, spears, and shuriken. She can also restrain opponents by blanketing them in sheets, thus restricting their movement and asphyxiating them. Much like her sensei, with the title as Angel (天使, Tenshi), the papers can also form large wings for further weaponry, though she is capable of hovering without them.

] Despite being made of paper, Shirō's Fire Release: Flame Bullet, which was empowered by oil, didn't even damage her. The power of the paper attacks could even overpower a fire attack. Yomiko is susceptible to oil-based attacks that prevent her paper from unfolding. Although she is not hampered to the same extent by water, as shown when Konan used Water Release: water Horn on her to wash the oil off, as well as her use of it in her home village where it always rains. Yomiko can make Paper Clones that she could use to fight in her place. She could hide explosive tags in them so that they would explode, and catch an enemy off guard. Yomiko also carries around with her large amount of pre-made paper or as she calls it, "ammunition". This allows Yomiko to spawn a much larger amount of paper than her mentor, allowing her to perform paper techniques much quicker and easier. Because of this, she is able to use paper jutsus further than normal (longer range) i.e. damage is the same but reach is enhanced. So, if a paper jutsu is usually Short-ranged, Yomiko is able to cast it up to Mid-Range. If it's Mid-Range, Shirō is able to cast it up to Long-Range.Affinities:
Yomiko exhibits a natural affinity for Water Release which reflects Yomiko's fighting style and philosophy - being flowing and graceful, acting in concert with the environment. Yomiko has acquired the ability to perform water techniques with one hand seal. She has also developed an affinity for Wind Release, enabling her to perform the hand seals for wind techniques with increased speed.
Genjutsu:
Due to her high degree of intelligence and innovation, Yomiko has become an avid user of genjutsu especially those that are visual-based. She has an extreme obsession with genjutsu and loves to use it during combat to deceive her opponents; and hopefully, defeat them with as little effort and violence as possible. Yomiko's innate talent and obsession for genjutsu, has made her able to recognise that she's under a genjutsu with more ease.
The Spectacles:
It is believe by many that Yomiko's spectacles has some sort of special ability or power allowing her to have an incredible clarity of perception to effortlessly track speeds that are normally difficult to be seen by the regular eye as well as the ability to see through genjutsu. This in part, is somewhat true as she wears special eye-piece lens that were given to her by a close friend to counter and dispel genjutsu. However, in regards to Yomiko being able to track somewhat high speed movements due to his spectacles; it is false and is more due to Yomiko's natural agility and her innate high reflexes.

Description : This is merely just two eye-piece lens that are specially designed to utilize chakra within them. Once placed in the user's eyes, the eye-piece lens aren't visible to the enemy eyes and will only turn visible when coming in contact with enemy chakra. When this happens, it starts turning a translucent colour of blue and then fades away. The purpose of the technique is to block out enemy chakra that is sent via the eye, making it a defense against genjutsu that require eye contact or transference of chakra to the user's mind. The user is not able to control when it can be activated, it will self-activated once detecting enemy chakra trying to enter the user's body.

Due to her training in Kirigakure, she has adapted to heavy mists and can rely on her hearing to find targets in a heavy mist. As a result, her senses of smell, touch and hearing are rather advanced due to not being able to use her senses while in Kirigakure. Although her senses are not quite as good as an Inuzuka's. However this adaptation coupled with her chakra sensory has made her an extremely skilled tracker and formidable opponent.
Weaponry:
Yomiko has a large amount of kunai and shuriken carried in her ninja pouches, on her belt and inside her trenchcoat. Yomiko also has a summonable fan that is used for certain wind jutsu and also possesses a topographical map. She normally carries a tanto on her back that can be used for cannon wind jutsu.
