I googled your questin and this is the answer I found:

"I read somewhere that Orochimaru's clans name is Uwabami or something, and according to japanese Uwabami means Boa constrictor"

This isn't my words, just googled it

yeah i do think his clan is related to snakes but wonder why nothing is told of his family or clan
