Lol, the only character I've ever been a fanboy of is Grimmjow, yet I never knew fans hated Nnoitra because of him.

She wasn't a "previous" espada. She was at Hallibel's level of power (she was 3rd amongst the other awakened arrancar). She only seemed weak because she hadn't trained and gotten stronger like the others. Nnoitra was a pure fighter. He wasn't like Ulquiorra who was methodical with crazy power, or like Stark who had incredible power. He was a hand to hand fighter, like Kenpachi.

He was weaker than the top 4? No shit. He was #5.

Nel only had the upper hand momentarily and that was only because Nnoitra was caught off guard by her returning to her full form. Nnoitra wasn't even released when Nel was in her Resurrecion form.

Nel was #3 but that was from a different time. The power scale of the Espadas increased dramatically since Nel was a part of them. If Nnoitra released his Santa Teresa then Nel wouldn't have stood a chance.
