We all know the Naruto series uses Yin and Yan release, and we all know Kurama's Yan release is sealed within Minato while Yin release is sealed within Naruto.
Yin and Yan theory
The Rikudo Sennin had both Yin and Yan release and was able to perform the creation of all things because of it,
Now we all know Kurama had a bit of evil inside him, this came because of the small amount of Yan chakra you can produce, this while Minato had the big part of Kurama's Yan release.
Now we all know the only one who can defeat the Juubi till date is the SO6P, He has the Rinnegan and the body, we have two candidates with the parts of the Rikudo Sennin, Sasuke and Naruto, but we all forgot that Minato is still standing next to Naruto with the Yan chakra.
My theories:

For the final battle I am convinced something will happen to Minato which will change or his mind or his plans, thus forcing him to release the Yan chakra and give it to Naruto, this while many people are dying and the Alliance looks hopeless.
For Sasuke? He will get the curse of the Uchiha, wanting to kill the Tailed beasts. He will be in a near death situation, for example stabbed by the Juubi Obito because of traitor and then healed by tsunade or Sakura, where he then will get the Rinnegan, THEN at that moment Madara Uchiha will put his eyes on him after defeating Hashirama.

Sasuke & Hashirama VS Madara Uchiha
5 Kages & Ninja alliance VS Obito Juubi Jinchuuriki - This will be a defending battle, nobody will do something significant
Infinite Tsukiyomi will be used at the end of the battles but both Sasuke and Naruto will get their Final power ups before that
