Right lets start with the basics of Yin in the rp. For that explain to me what Yin and yang are the in the rp. What they are separately and what they are collectively. Once we've done this we can go in depth into yin and the jutsu

Well my knowledge is a bit lacking but ill give it a go. Essentially in the rp Yin is used primarily for illusions and the stealing of ones chakra. Although aside from that it also allows the user to change the very foundation of a technique given its from the basic 5, this means turning a solid earth technique into liquid, or turning a fire technique into a solid technique. It also provides the user with the ability to make their genjutsu much more potent in the sense that they can manipulate a gen and make it feel real such as giving off heat, smell etc.

Yang is from my understanding the opposite being it gives things life as apposed to taking things away like Yin's chakra eating ability. Yang allows someone to turn anything into a sentient creation allowing it to move and operate on its own without input from the user. It also grants enhanced endurance and chakra allowing the user the "tank" hits that normally would result in damage.

And thats basically the limit of my knowledge

Good start. I'll c/p what i explained to shinta:

Yin - Tied to thought itself. Giving thought form. This is why it ties into genjutsu, you create something in someone's mind. With that you have the spiritual aspects, such as yin etc. It ties into ones spirit, and with that draining ones spirit. So you'll see abilities tied to chakra draining effects or effecting one's spirit itself. Yin is considered cold. The genjutsu side allows you to gain enhanced illusions which we will go into.

Yang - If yin is thought and creation, Yang is life itself. Yang is warm, you'll notice a theme in the names that follow this. Anyway yang being life embodies the physical aspect. So giving sentience, healing (We saw naruto save guy's life), physical enhancement but at the same time physical debilitation.

When you combine the ability to create and the power to give life, you have creation itself. It's why the final jutsu for yy allows you to create your own creation.

A thing to note is all Yin and yang jutsu have higher chakra costs due to their nature and with it have higher damage to match.

Any questions?

First one is following the theme of imagination for yin. You think it and infuse it into your jutsu, break this down:

(Inton: Ten ni henkō) - Yin Release: Change into Heaven
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A (+50)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user manipulates a technique of the basic 5 elements with Yin nature, allowing him to change its properties. Fire can become solid. Lightning can become tangible. The possibilities are as endless as is the user’s own imagination. The end resulting technique is neutral to all basic elemental natures. This doesn't consume time since it’s actually a skill applied to a technique used at the same time.
Note: Yin Release masters can apply this technique to advanced fields, CE and advanced elements.
Note: Usable 3 times per battle and 6 times per event.

Like I said earlier this is one of the key abilities of Yin. It essentially allows the user to change the very constitution of a jutsu or even an element, letting you turn fire into a solid or lightning into something tangible. Although being a Yin master allows you to apply this to CE and AE which is pretty damn cool in itself and I can see alot of fun to be had with something like this.

It's by far one of the most fun cjs. Making fire invisible, making water sticky etc

Reminder, when you use this:
1. The jutsu you use it on becomes neutral to all elements due to the yin within it.
2. The +50 chakra cost doesn't increase the chakra of the jutsu used. It just means you spend more chakra in the same time frame. Important to note when it comes to people trying to seal it.

Up next:

(Inton: Gogyou Gen) - Yin Release: 5 Elements Illusion
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A (+50)
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to combine their elemental chakra with Yin Release in order to create stronger, more potent genjutsu. When the user casts a genjutsu, rather than using their raw chakra they will use one of the basic elemental natures, thus increasing the potency of the jutsu. The jutsu increases in strength by one rank and due to the massive amount of chakra used, the jutsu can penetrate through any subversive method against genjutsu. By using nature chakra rather than raw chakra, the properties of the genjutsu can change in accordance to that nature and become stronger. For example, using Crushing Snake Constriction with Fire Release chakra would make the snakes appear, feel, and sound as though they were on fire. As well, the technique would follow the rules of elemental genjutsu. The user is free to alter the effects of a genjutsu within reason as long as the primary effects remain the same.
Note: Can only be used 6 times per battle.
Note: Cannot be used on techniques above S-rank.
Note: Yin Release masters can use advanced elements and CE

A very nice and fun technique with lots of possibilities. It essentially makes any gen you make have even more realistic aspects to it such as heat, smell etc it really is up to the user's own choice which is the beauty in this technique

Can you give a couple of examples with the cannon jutsu so i know you understand the limits?
How does this effect when someone wants to break the illusions?

Well one example is like the jutsu itself describes is crushing snake constriction, it can either have the fireball give off heat similar to flower head death the user can make it feel as if the explosion is giving off real heat further increasing the potency of the genjutsu.

Well given this technique increases the rank of a gen by +1 and also turns it into an elemental gen the opponent would need to use an elemental surge of their own strong enough to break free of this right?

It's still broken by a surge of chakra that needs to be 1 rank above. Elemental s/w play into it yes.

If you infuse a B rank gen with fire to make A rank fire gen. An A rank water surge would break it, due to the elemental advantage. As it goes to F rank, a surge of chakra higher than the chakra level of your jutsu would break it

(Inton: Gaki no Jutsu) - Yin Release: Hungry Ghost Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A (+50)
Damage: N/A
Description: Hungry Ghost is a spiritual parasite created through the user’s Yin Release chakra. When using an elemental jutsu, the user will form the ram hand seal to seal the hungry ghost within their technique. Sealing the hungry ghost inside one’s technique happens within the same timeframe as their elemental technique. When the user’s technique clashes with another technique, the parasitic Yin Chakra will eat away at the chakra within the technique, weakening it by one rank. Once the hungry ghost consumes foreign chakra it is released and immediately attaches itself to the source of the foreign chakra (the opponent). From there, the parasite continues to eat away at the enemy’s chakra every time they use techniques (all techniques reduce in rank and power by 1 degree). Once the Hungry Ghost is released, its tether is immediate and cannot be blocked or circumvented by ordinary means. The effects of Hungry Ghost last for 4 turns.
Note: Can only be used 5 times per battle and cannot be used on the same target more than twice.
Note: Surges or Barriers that utilize Yin, Yang, Yin-Yang or Natural Energy can break or prevent the tethering of the Hungry Ghost.
Note: Yin Release master can apply this technique to advanced elements and CE
Note: Hungry Ghost can only be used on S-rank techniques and below.

Definitely one of the meaner yin jutsu out there. Basically lets you attach this to one of your own attacks and once it clashes with another jutsu it will eat the chakra from the opponents technique lowering it a rank, after this happens it latches itself onto the opponent/source of the chakra and begins eating away at their chakra

In rp terms, this counts as a debuff. You can only ever have two buffs to your jutsu or one buff to yours and one debuff to them.

How can this be prevented?

How can this be released?

What happens if the jutsu you use this on is sealed?

Well to prevent it, it basically needs to be a Yin or Yang technique or a YY one as long as it’s a surge.

I have no idea on it being released though

and if it’s sealed I’m assuming it would simply eat through the seal, no?

Sage chakra would work too.

To counter it release a surge of yin / yang / yy / sage chakra through your body.

And well depends on the sealing. But if you seal the technique the ghost is in, it is sealed with it. But that entirely depends on the sealing jutsu compared to the wording of the hungry ghost.

(Inton: Dai Mugen Ryu) - Yin Release: Great Phantom Dragons
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 150
Damage: 100 | 120 (for multi-element)
Description: A more powerful version of “Yin Release Hungry Ghost Technique.” Rather than the user arbitrarily adding their Yin Release chakra to a specific technique, the user will create a number of large, elemental dragons using any of the basic elements plus their Yin Release chakra. The user can create up to 5 serpentine dragons which, once created, can act independently according to the user’s will. Due to the user being able to manipulate multiple elements at once, each dragon created can be of a different nature. Each dragon will also have the absorption properties of “Hungry Ghost,” thus becoming even more dangerous. However, due to the massive amount of chakra and control needed to use these dragons, the user can only control two dragons at any given time. While the dragons are present, the user cannot use any Yang Release or elemental techniques that currently exist within the dragons. Yin Release masters can combine two natures together in order to make a multi-elemental dragon or even a dragon consisting of an advanced element or CE that they know. However, in doing so they will only be able to create two dragons.
Note: Can only be used 2 times per battle.

A very cool technique, basically let’s you summon dragons consisting of one of the five elements but being a yin master allows you to create a dragon that consists of two elements creating a CE or AE that you know.

Don't forget they have the hungry ghost applied to them. After the first turn, it costs a move per turn to control them.

(Inton: Namakemono no Ude ) Yin Release: Hands of Sloth
Type: Supplementary/Offensive/Defensive
Rank: S
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra Cost: 100 (110 w/ YY: Hands of Sloth) -50 per turn
Damage: 120
Description: This technique gets its name from one of the deadliest sins, sloth. The user begins by clapping their hands and focusing their Yin Release chakra behind them. The user creates several chakra arms (up to 8) behind them which are spiritual in nature. They do not appear to the naked senses, only Sage Mode users, Rinnegan and other Yin-Yang Release users can detect these hands. The best way to describe this technique is in relation to Madara’s Boader Jail technique. The arms are capable of physically interacting with the world and attacking or defending against physical constructs. However, the user can freely turn them completely intangible if they wish to bypass physical obstacles. The base usage of this technique allows the user to attack or defend covertly by freely manipulating the invisible arms. However, in their second form the user can add the “properties of sloth” to the hands which are dejection, idleness, and sleep. Dejection is a loss of will and focus translated in causing a victim to lose coherent perception of the world around them and weaken their ability to defend against genjutsu. Idleness is a loss of action which is translated to a hampered ability to cast techniques. Sleep is a loss of consciousness which is translated in a comatose state brought about by the sealing of one’s spirit if they are not sufficiently healed. The third and final form of this technique is brought about when the user introduces their Yang Release chakra which essentially makes the hands quasi-sentient and self-sufficient without the user’s mental input.
Note: all Yin Release users can use the base form of this technique. Yin Release masters or Yin-Yang users can use the second form. The final form of this technique can only be used by Yin-Yang users with a Yin affinity.
Note: The properties of sloth are spiritually degenerating properties. The more a victim interacts with the hands the worse they become. When touched by the hands once, the victim enters dejection and becomes unable to deduce A-rank and above genjutsu and unable to break S-rank genjutsu by any means. When touched twice the victim enters idleness and they become unable to perform techniques within a single time-frame. When touched thrice, the victim’s mind is sealed over the course of 2 turns and they enter a genjutsu that renders them a mindless puppet to the user. The properties of sloth can only affect victims if the hands are tangible. Switching between tangibility and intangibility requires a move.
Note: Genjutsu specialists and other Yin-Yang users can resist the properties of sloth through the use of counter genjutsu or Yin Release techniques like Yin State.
Note: This technique can be used once per battle. While in use, the user cannot use any non-elemental ninjutsu, Yang Release, or Yin-Yang Release techniques.

One of the more offensive techniques in Yin you basically create hands im assuming on your back? or can they be summoned anywhere behind the user? the hands cannot be seen unless through rinnegan, sage or YY. The user can make these hands either tangible or intangible at will and will have certain effects on a target if contact is made depending on the user's affinity with yin.

Can the hands be smelt or heard?

Yeah on your back, as you control them.

Well unless someone has the ability to smell yin chakra, which is like, beyond normal chakra, yes. But nah, no doggo bios smelling these ghostly hands.

They don't mention a sound so they wont make one, so wont be heard. The way to sense them is legit just rinnegan/sm/yy. Imagine them being like limbo clones. Like if these hands broke through a wall you'd be like "oh shit, something broke through i can't see, i react by..." using deduction rather than sensing
