123fire answers: Yes it's filler. why u ask? No novel adaptation. no mention in the manga. writing quality is equal to naruto shippuden filler. Arc very cliche and unoriginal. no approval from kodachi

In conclusion . Byakuya arc is the first filler arc in boruto anime. What is sad is expect after movie arc 2 seasons of filler arcs and RIP Boruto anime

Who told you that? Who told you as long as it's approved. Your opinion on this doesn't matter. If it ain't in the Manga or directly talked about in the Manga it's filler. The only canon thing in the anime is certain characters and episode 8 or 9. But believe whatever you want, and wait for the Boruto Manga's approval.

Nothing new, we all know that this arc is filler therefore Hanabi being the leader of "Team Sumire" is filler aswell. Not to mention we know what Sumire is destined to, again pointless filler giving false hope.

Mist arc was never filler to me. even before it was mentioned in the manga i considered it canon
