I get why Hiruzen wasn't THAT affected. It was Danzo's fault the Uchihas were exterminated.

But Tobirama? Danzo was one of the top dogs during his time. If not for Hiruzen Danzo would have probably been made Hokage.

danzo didnt help the leaf during the Sand/sound invasion he did even help during Pain's invasion{though i wouldnt either}

What are you talking about Danzo didn't make any moves to become hokage until Tsaunde was capable. Danzo protected the leaf and its interests thats why he wanted to control naruto didn't want the 9 tails to fall into the hands of an enemy of the leaf.

In a way Tobirama and Danzo are alike they both did some dirty deeds in order to protect Konoha and to be honest I like characters like that.

he let the village get destroyed partly because he felt that this was cycle triggered by the third that he didn't want to get involved with. Third taught Oro he came back to destroy the village, jariya taught the children from the rain and pain came back, hell Minto taught obito and guess what... Thats why he didn't get involved because he want to stop that cycle by becoming hokage. he wasn't wrong if they would have named kakashi hokage guess who would have came back to village.
