Danzo was Hiruzen's best friend. Danzo was Tobirama's precious student. No reaction from them... Kishimoto most probably was like 'f*ck you Danzo, this chapter is all about Itachi alone!'...

Hiruzen represented the light for the village, and Danzo was the darkness.. Danzo did things that was necessary for Konoha to run smoothly without conflict. That being said as a Hokage you must have represent both sides, and since hiruzen died. Danzo tactics would have only hurt Konoha, and start up plenty wars because he would no longer have anybody that will disagree with him. On how to go about the situation and keep good face with other villages.

I agree that there should have been some kind of reaction, but I guess Hiruzen just had to accept the fact Danzo was killed, and not become too emotional about it.
As a Hokage, I'd expect that it's important to put those emotions aside and think about more important matters.

Nah, that reaction was not based on kishi, it was based on the character who all along had no respect for Danzo at all. Especially since danzo tried to take control of the leaf and become Hokage the whole time.

Danzo was a fool who tried to control powers that were way out of his league and paid the ultimate price for it.
