[Discussion] Yay or Nay for overpowered DFs.

We've seen how some DF abilities are crazy overpowered, like Whitebeard's. So would you want there to be more DFs with abilities at this level, or would you prefer Oda to restrict the full use of potential overpowered abilities? Here's a list of some potential overpowered DFs we could possibly see in the future of One Piece:

- Having the ability to manipulate time.
- Being in control of radioactivity / having a body made out of radioactive matter.
- Manipulation of blood, and possibly controlling other characters' bodies due to this.
- Mind control, changing the thoughts and feelings of people.
- Having the power to erase anything around you, just like some DF abilities can create things around the users.
- Possessed with the ability to create black holes, or something similar.

So what do you think? And are there more powers at this level you would (not?) want to see?

-I like the blood one though...better if it was a water logia DF and could somehow Bloodbend

Agreed I feel like Oda holds Kizaru a little bit though. I'm not complaining either, he has so much potential to so much stronger, Teach's fruit is pretty OP too, the man can negate other people's powers, that's hax.

OT: I'd like OP fruits, like the ones you've mentioned. I feel like Oda does well with the characters and their DF to bring balance in fighting situations. Like Enel has a lot of potential but terrible fighting experience so I feel that Oda bring OP DF fruits would be no hassle.

I agree it's the Yami. Though the Pika, for me, is the most entertaining DF. My personal favourite.

You're correct, that was a mistake on my part. And yes, I agree with you, the power of darkness seems to be one of the strongest so far, and is probably going to stay at the top till the end of the series.

I'd honestly love to see some new DFs that can affect a bigger area, just like Whitebeard's, again. After all, the most powerful abilities seems to be the one that can be used at longer distances, as we can see with Fushitora's ability, or Law's.

And I agree with what some of you have said, Kizaru's ability is crazy. He'd probably be much stronger if he wasn't so slow.

And like how Blackbeard's physical skills were sloppy. I agree with you, Oda seems to have everything under control, just as expected from him.

Don't you think that would be too overpowered though? If Oda brings an ability like that into One Piece, then he should restrict its use, like how Ceaser could only manipulate the oxygen in a small area around himself.

Those are way too overpowered. Maybe a DF that controls perception of time, so the user sees everything slowed down and is able to counter quickly.

I wanna see a DF that could make shapes out of surfaces they touch, like, the user touches the ground, and can create a cube out of earth, or a ball, or a cone, and they can move it around like a telekinetic.

Oda always finds a way to slow down people with OP fruits.

Whitebeard only being shown as an old man

Kizaru being an overall goofball

Enel being to confident and also fighting basically his only weakness

So yeah, he could definately introduce some of these fruits and it would be cool, but also lame since you already know they will be possessed by a goofball or something.

I think most of the ones you mentioned are way too overpowered and some already exist. I wouldn't mind seeing more overpowered devil fruits since they make the fights more epic.

I say yay. One Piece already has OP DF's though. Whitebeard's, Fujitora's, Kizaru's, Kuzan's, Akainu's, Law's. Just to state a few.

Im so sure Kid with his new cyborg arm will b manipulatin electromagnetism and showing us some purple lightning attacks nxt he is in fight, and maybe GeoMagnatism in his prime u know with Islands having their own magnetic fields he cld b the second man with the power to destroy the world.
OT: with how Oda does it they will just fit in but fav is not when Oda takes an overpowered ability and makes a df, I love it when he takes something that wld have been meh and creates grt stuff.

Very possible! I think it does exist as one of the stronger Paramecias.

Way too OP. It's basically another ten thousand steps above the Ito Ito no Mi because blood manipulation can insta-kill anyone with blood flowing through their veins.

Can't Sugars fruit somewhat do something similar?

That would solo the OPV. Way too overpowered.

Yami Yami no Mi already does this.

I think Oda could make it work with some kind of restriction, DBZ made it work since that dude had to hold in his breath, maybe a somewhat similarly crippling restriction could work and I dont doubt Oda could do it but just flat out timec ontrol is too OP yes

well just flat out radiation would actually be less destructive than some of the DFs we already have, though radiation is in itself degenerating of the source in a way it could be completely doable

I think it could possibly be acceptable if it is restricted by range and Haki, otherwise no

that is IMO completely doable though only if it would be possible to break out with either Haki or just plain strong will

this is basically the case for Oonoki and if Kishi can do it I have no doubt Oda can do it better

BB already does that in a way (though it is more of a darkness that sucks anything rather than gravity so it is not technically a true BH but rather only borrows the name), a black hole technically is gravity and the gravity fruit (seemingly) already exists with Fujitora so we will see to what extent it can be used, but yes just creating

I wouldn't want instant and unrestricted teleportation to any destination or just a plain broken unrestricted speed speed fruit, I also think a flat out pain fruit could be extremely OP though it might fit into the story, a water fruit if unrestricted could be extremely OP as well

Gura Gura, Fuwa Fuwa, Isshou's fruit, Dragons fruit (IF he has one like I theorize), Kaidous fruit (IF it's typhon), Yami Yami, Goro Goro, Hie Hie, Magu Magu and possibly the Hito Hito no Mi Model Daibutsu
