I personally think there's a limit to the power it can take. The Juubi's power would sure overwhelm it. We're talking about a monster that split continents.

Honestly, it's like expecting some sponge to still soak up water when it's already completely soaked.
There is a limit to what the Mirror Can do. Let's not forget the blast would destroy susanoo from all around and kill the user too.

It can't block the juubi's TBB, but it for sure can block any of the others. If kurama's cloak could block an incomplete juubi tbb, then yata mirror can MOST DEFINITELY do it as well.

You people take everything said in the manga too literally. There is a point where you have to look at something with your own eyes, and use your logic.
I'm assuming from your post, Susano'o is also some 'liquidy glowing thing'.
Susanoo is formed through the materialisation of the user's chakra and Yata Mirror is most likely to be as well.
The whole reason why Itachi had it, and Orochimaru couldn't find it, was probably because Itachi had been born with the damn thing for all you know.

Yata Miror is a mystical item that has all 5 elements sealed in it. It shields it's wielder by pushing up to it's surface the elements that directly oppose the ones that are being used in the attack the shield is blocking.
Example:
Blocks Kirin (Raiton) pushes to it's surface Futon element and nullifies Kirin.
In other words it won't block any attack if it's not based on any of the five elements. Send a kunay at it and it slids through, use a jutso that is omnidirectional and the shield won't block it, send a massive amount of undefined chakra and it won't protect it's wielder.
Yata Miror is described to be the perfect defence against Ninjutso. Theoretically it wouldn't be able to block a Rasengan (as long as it isn't Rasengan Shuriken, obviously)
If Itachi had been born with it, in other words if Yata Miror was a Susano'O's treat Orochimaru wouldn't know of it's existence.
Before Itachi the only person that had used Susano'O was Madara and he clearly doesn't have Yata Miror.
So LOGIC dictates that Itachi found the Yata Miror and incorporated it into his Susano'O.

Look mate, use your head will ya? Stop basing everything on what you see, interpret that information a little.
Most Uchihas are born with different powers, for example: Kotoamatsukami, Kamui, Blaze Release etc.
So why couldn't Itachi have been born with these powers?
In the past, Uchihas were probably born with techniques such as this, and Orochimaru became fascinated by its powers, and sought it out. That is probably why he was after Itachi and Sasuke's body.

....The items existed long before itachi.... Madara was the first person to unlock mangekyou , and get sussano...
and according to tobi susanno is rare to get..
If you are implying that yata mirror and totsuka sword randomly come with someones susanno.. no....
It makes no sense.... It's an item of legend , it existed way before madara.... Susanno is chakra manifested into a physical form... Yata mirror/tsword are spiritual weapons with no physical form

I don't think you understood what I wrote so let me quote the explanation.
I quoted it 3 times on purpose so that if you don't get it the first time you might understand it on the secound or third.
Orochimaru could not have been searching for something that had never apeared in the world, simply because he would have no way of knowing it!! I'm all in favour of looking at things and using logic to go a little beyond but you can not go against logic in the process of thinking out of the box otherwise it's no longer logic, it's demential speculation.

Yes, but surely the radius of the explosion, would surround sasunoo, but again sasunoo would tank it.
