Ok this is not an Itachi vs. BM Naruto thread. This is strictly just Tailed Beast Bomb vs. the Yata Mirror.

Ok lets look at the facts vs. assumptions.​

Facts:

Yata Mirror:

- According to the databook, the yata mirror is endowed with all chakra natures and it can change its own characteristics depending on the characteristics of the attack it receives, making the technique ineffective.

- We have not seen yata mirror fail yet

Tailed Beast Bomb:

- The Tailed Beast Ball is the ultimate technique of a tailed beast. To form the attack, they gather both positive black chakra and negative white chakra , shape it into a sphere, and then compress it inside their mouth. The black and white chakra needs to be balanced at an 8:2 ratio respectively or it will backfire.

So in theory because TBB is made out of chakra it should tank TBB.

Only chance Itachi has is to bring out Yata Mirror and deflect a TBB but I really do not see that happening

i guess tbb > yata mirror

by definition yata mirror should withstand a tbb, etheral weapons are nothing to take lightly, but the chakra consumption to sustain it during a tbb would probably be enormous

The main idea is Yata mirror can deflect it or TBB can destroy yata mirror I think and yes you got really good point, Users Chakra reserve is playing an important role too. This is no Itachi VS Naruto.

Yes it would reflect it but think it would blow up like right next to itachi so he would still take horrific amounts of damage

The Yata mirror changes it chakra nature to neurtalise any jutsu. For example air nature when you get attacked by a lightning jutsu. However the TBB is composed out of regular chakra without any elemental nature, so it has no use to change it's chakra nature. Because of that I think the TBB wins the fight, but the yata mirror definitely blocks quite some damage. It's not like it block the TBB for 100%, but you sure get less damage then when you had a regular shield.
