For the Itachi fans or Yata mirror believers it is time you guys got your facts straight

YATA Mirror does not block anything. It is never stated that it blocks anything.

What Yata does is repel/cancel properties by using it's own properties against it

Example:

Yata vs Kamui

Yata will not block Kamui!

However if Kamui is used against Yata Mirror

Yata will mimic Kamui and thus..

Kamui cancels out Kamui

Another Example

Yata vs Lightning Edge

Yata will not block Lightning edge

However if Lightning Edge is used against Yata Mirror

Yata will mimic Lightning Ege and thus.

Lightning Edge would cancel Lightning edge


Yata Mirror Paradox Fail safe:

Yata has in its databook info that it negates effects of all other attacks. Thus things lose there meaning.
Do you guys understand now?

I believe it blocks and cancels though. but you are right. but you stated that it repels. what do you mean by that? I dont think it will repel or reflect a jutsu

Yaata was stated by the manga to reflect or turn back any attack.
Yaata was stated by the databook to repel or render attacks ineffective.

Manga > databook, yaata reflects by manga statements and simply blocks like a very durable shield by feats.
