Yata Mirror theory! Put on your thinking cap please!

A lot of people truly believe that Yata Mirror can block any attack, even the famous Kamui jutsu! A thread was made last month and ended by saying "The Yata mirror isn't an inter-dimensional shield"

This is not about obito vs itachi. This is all about can Yata Mirror block Kamui?! So keep your fan hat under the bed please.

Inter-dimensional and multi-dimensional are not the same. Here the statement I support. The Yata mirror isn't an inter-dimensional shield.

The way I look at Yata mirror is like this.. It a box! If Kamui allow the user/attack disappear and reappear into a box without touching the wall, that box is not inter-dimensional for sure. Because Kamui allowing the user/attack to reappear inside a box without touching the wall. Now if the space inside of the box is cover with the chakra of the yata mirror, then kamui will teleport the user/attack inside the box, but that user/attack won't be able to move and it most likely that the user/attack that teleported inside of the box will explode due to the Chakra vibrating because it will try to deflect the person/attack out of the box.

The yata mirror might be a multi-dimensional shield since it will block any person/attack that try to "penetrate it directly" no matter what dimensional attack it is. Madara's limbo clones for example.

Now If you think otherwise, please share. I just love a healthy conversation.

Yata can only stop what comes into contact with it, as with any shield. Techniques like Kamui bypass it.

My man here explained the problem perfectly.

- The shield has no physical form.
- The user can change every single of its properties. This includes size and shape. It can block from all directions.
- It can block/repel any attack. Doesn't matter if its not Ninjutsu, doesn't matter if its space-time. Any attack is useless against the Yata
- Any attack that meets this shield loses its meaning. For example, one of the Seven Ninja swordsman hidden in the mist has a sword that is said to pierce anything - however in front of the Yata it loses its meaning. Same deal for truth-seeking orb.

The shield alongside its brother and sister are clearly of the highest tier in the Naruto universe. Their origins are not known, could of existed before even Kaguya for all we know. Most people don't even know they exist and those that have heard of it just think it's some fairy tale legend. I'm not sure why people have trouble accepting that the Yata Mirror is just that good, I think it's because Itachi used it. I get the feeling that people are looking at Itachi himself and his raw-power and downplaying the Yata Mirror because of it... "It can't be that powerful because Itachi was using it. He's outclassed by several now" - That's what it feels like. Sorry but the shield is that powerful. There's a reason Sasuke didn't get the weapons, Kishi would either have to retcon or Sasuke with his chakra reserves would be stupidly broken.

i agree. i have been watching NB for an year (as an guest) and seen lots of these.
