People are taking the DB page where it says Yata will change its properties to cancel out a jutsu to say that Yata can only change to elemental attributes.. That's wrong. What about the attacks that are not elemental ?

Rasengan, Hinata's Twin Lion Fist. Yata will still block those by changing its properties accordingly.

And the Nara's clan shadow jutsus ? Yata will adapt.

Aside from it's elemental properties, Yata can only change it's size, shape, color and density, as those are the only non-elemental properties anything has really. Non-elemental attacks all rely on force to do their damage, so changing density will allow Yata to defend against that.

The only thing that Yata mirror should have any trouble defending against is Jinton. The reason being is because Jinton manipulates the molecules, which molecules are what make up an object's properties in the first place, so by messing with the molecules you take away the ability for Yata to defend by changing it's properties.

Since Jinton may be connected somwhat to Kamui's dimension, Kamui may also be able to give Yata some trouble. But neither are a guarantee.
