[Skip to 8:08 of the video] During Naruto's elemental training, Yamato told Naruto he uses Water and Earth element to create Wood.

[Skip to 34:29] Yamato uses Mokuton No Jutsu to assist Naruto's training, but we can clearly see Fire being lighted up.

My conclusion is thus... Yamato is a genius who uses 3 element.

When lee opens the gates, wind is created and he speed create vortexes but that doesn't meant he can use the wind element. And we dont know what Yamato's original element is before the dna splicing, and this is the anime not the mange.

There are also candles with lit fire. Does that mean Minato has fire element? We don't know, none of is confirmed.

there is a technique that campers can use that you can light a fire useing just wood. It uses the physics known as FRICTION to ignite.

Yamato has not ever shown fire release, but simply a wooden technique that had self lighting candles. So it is more logical to assume yamato used friction to ignite the candles, rather than fire release.
