Yamato's backstory

What I like especially about the current episodes is that they focus so much on Yamato's backstory, you could basically Label this arc "Yamato gaiden". This is really cool since Kishi didn't develop Yamato AT ALL in the main plot. We only got about one sentence refering to him being some sort of Mokuton-experiment from Orochimaru and that was it.

Also, it is nice to see Yamato because

he might become pretty relevant in the manga soon again as he probably is the one inside Spiral Zetsu

What you said last is why I believe they did this kakashi filler stuff.

Hiruzen kakashi are on the field if something were to occur in the manga that had no reason we the fans would be like 'er wtf'

Where as by doing this filler if anything did come up itd most likely have some relevance to the fillers.

my example like you said too is yamato.

No nothing about him and hes gone. If it werent for him the zetsus wouldnt have been improved sooo if he were to be brought back we may see something between kakashi yamato hiruzen
Its a long shot but if anyones gonna whine they should offer me some. Haha

Yamato backstory was interesting...Though this is KAKASHI's arc not Yamato arc. I don't mind Yamato appearing, it's just don't make 3 episodes based on him...Kakashi vs Gotta was good though.

I liked yamatos story, but I'd prefer that the put more focus on kakashi & itachi

Well the arc is still about Kakashi, he still shows up in every episode. But they are putting a big focus on Yamato's past at the same time which is good imo.
