fine by me this isnt really an exciting matchup thats why i put a half assed post

yamatos wood element techs are fast pretty quick too neji does have 360 degree vision and rotation but how long can neji keep up, yamato should know since he's a hyuga that he excels in close range combat and it would be suicide to get up close

so yamato shouldnt have a problem creating distance he can make the waterfall with a big terrain like this for example (not that a waterfall would help unless it was directly attacking neji) but his water techs arent that great anyway it wont help him ill admit

but he can create the mountain that the waterfall was placed without the water (since it would only waste chakra) for creating distance while hes far away and has him on the lower ground for a barrage of wood element, yamatos smart too 4.5 in the data book he has the capability of finding the byakugans blind spot and when he does, game over
