Yamato wins purely because of his fighting style and variety.

It's an insanely close fight but Yamato can combat Kimimaro at any range, using wood prisons/wood jutsu from long distance, wood hammers from mid distance and wood shield at close range, like he did against the Hidan clone. Yamato can make entire waterfalls and houses. The scale is just a bit too big for Kimimaro to contend with in the long run, the only weakness Kimimaro can exploit is Yamato's stamina as Kimimaro seems to never tire but I think the fight will be over before stamina/chakra exhaustion becomes a problem.

Yamato is crazily underrated. Good match-up caterpillar hunny.

My judgement has been messed up lately.

I now consider more how sick a person is before going into battle.
But I do believe Kim would take this because he is really fast before Yamato starts to try to distance himself.

We should now put time frames on characters. Because if we are talking about kim vs Garra and lee he only last a few minutes if most to live and not enough time to kill Yamato.

But if we put kim coming out of comma he aleast has three days worth of fighting to kill Yamato.

But Yamato beats other people because he can use his wood to soar on it? What makes him not distance himself from Kim? We do not know how far kim bones goes up
