How is lightning strong against all 3? I don't think you understand the elemental match-ups.

Lightning is strong against earth, earth against water, water against fire, fire against wind, wind against lightning.

Water is not inherently weak to lightning though, it was just that Suigetsu's body was made out of water and so was conducting the lightning well.

If a water and a lightning attack were to meet up neither would have the elemental advantage. That is what I meant by that.

And as for mokuton, if it is weak to lightning it is only because of the earth part of it. I don't think that this is the case though, I think Sasuke's jutsu was just stronger than the mokuton.
