Genesis 3: The Fall
The serpent, "more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made," tempts the woman to eat "of the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden", telling her that "You will not certainly die" and that "God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil". After some reflection about the tree—that "the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom", the woman took some of the fruit and ate it.
With this similarity between The God Tree and the Princess story, I believe Yamato no Orochi The White Snake is the one who tricked the Princess to eat the fruit. Orochimaru will be the Final Villain.
