Aightt, so the Yamanaka are able to read minds for one, though their main shtick is that they can send their consciousness into other people, switching it with their own in some cases or just inhibiting capabilities in other uses. They can also communicate telepathically with others, making them useful in group battles. Other than that there combat abilities depend on the rank of user and chakra they have in most cases, so it's better used on people of the same or lower ranks for maximum efficiency.
