Yahiko's Power

[Tendo Pain]

In the very few episodes it showed him nearly none of his powers were shown so i was wondering what other people think he can do. We know he uses a sword because he is seen carrying one but what other techs could he have done. Hanzo and Danzo both mistook him for the most powerful of the 3 so he must have had some power. So how powerful and what techs do you think he possessed? Also who do you think could have taken on the founding 3 Akasuki members?

As everyone else said about his sword skills and water jutsu. But he must of been powerful for him to be the leader. o.o I hope kishi will show another flashback showing some of his skills but I doubt it. :\

But yea, I thought he was a very cool character I don't understand why him, hanzo and danzo didn't just team up as they all sought after peace in the long run.

He had a lot of guts, just like Naruto.

I used to think it was the sage of the six paths but Yahiko is the most plausible to me now, I don't know why people think its Izuna because he wouldn't come back at full strength due to him losing his eyes before he died. The sons of the sage could be a possibility but why would they summon one and not both of them, Yahiko was mistaken as the strongest out of the konan and nagato, but he used to say it was nagato, if shinobi have trouble seeing who is stronger than he must be on that kind of level then at least. Also he is the only one out of Konan and Nagato that we haven't seen in action and he was their leader.

I think it makes perfect sense for Madara to be freaked out, He would know what Yahiko is capable of, and he said that he is the one who got him to create akatsuki, and Yahiko was seen as the most powerful one outta nagato and konan. I think when Yahiko said that nagato was stronger he was just being modest. Yahiko had nagato kill him so I wouldn't say it demonstrated how strong he was. Also he would be a perfect opponent for naruto to face before the final battle, because Yahiko passed on his will to nagato who passed it on to naruto, and both naruto and Yahiko closely resemble each other. Kabuto said he ressurected powerful famous ninja, so Why not him he even got hanzo's and danzo's attention meaning he must have been well known.

I think that he would be a great fit for the coffin because we haven't seen much of his powers and his power level is unknown.
