For this particular one, lets go back to the Zanpakutou filler ARC. The only shinigami's zanpakutou manifestation we never saw was Zaraki's because he was out on a mission the entire setting. That would've spoiled this turning point.

Now in the future I think everyone should rethink this fillers are non-canon material thing as Kubo is clearly using fillers, OVA's and movies to either purposefully hide things by not showing them, or throwing them in our face like pies but we are too blind to see what flavor they are. (Sorry for the Bad Metaphors). This is how I was able to make most of my predictions. With Kubo, everything is canon.

But how did she have a Lieutenant seat if she was just a Zanpakuto spirit? That'd be like Zabimaru being the 3rd seat in Byakuya's division it just doesn't make sense.

for some she was regular, for most she was mystery for few she was already Zanpaktou. It wasn't all that shocking in the end wasnt it? If you did reseach on Yachiru you would probably say.. AHAH it all makes sense now.

the shikai parts weird for me too. nozarashi apparently means "a motif of skulls and bones, skeletons". yachiru has a crossbone pin in her head & that sanpoo technique used skeletons too. wondering if that wasnt her shikai but more so an ability of her "true form" so to speak. we probably got an early glimpse of one of ken's techniques.

however, that damn furball that was with her doesnt say kenpachi at all.
