Xbox 360 vs. PS3

I bought the PS3, i've played xbox360 for a couple of years and i can tell you that PS3 is a genius console. Less problems than xbox, free online multiplayer gaming and the hacking about PS3, i don't believe it. Cause i've been playing for almost 1 year now and i didn't see one hacking person. PS3 is a little computer that is made to game My friends liked it so much that they now try to sell their 360 to buy a PS3 The only thing is that there isn't Halo, but Modern Warfare 2 is making it up and soon 3 too!
I recommend you an PlayStation 3, it's up to you now.

I have both. I love rpgs like Disgaea3, the classic Final Fantasy's (like 7-9 (especially 9)) and etc..., I also love the fighters, and I've played online games with the same ability on both games (I'm not a big fan of COD (seeing as how so many are for shooters anymore) but I'll still play it) and it seems the PS3 players are more dedicated to gaming and will put up more of a challenge. as for the the whole hacked ordeal...MICROSOFT HAS BEEN HACKED BEFORE AND THEY RAISED THEIR DEFENSES AND AFTER SONY GOT HACKED BOTH OF THEM RAISED THEIR DEFENSES EVEN MORE AGAIN AND AS PEOPLE GET MORE ADVANCE IN PROTECTING FROM HACKERS THE FURTHER HACKERS ADVANCE IN HACKING AND THEY THEMSELVES CHOOSE WHO'LL BE THEIR POOR VICTIMS (all caps to be noticeable not anger)...anyhow I'm bringing my PS3 to college and leaving the 360 and Wii at home but I'll be less than an hour away so it doesn't matter too much. I have games that are on the 360 that force me to get their sequels on their (Dragon Age being an example) but Halo isn't a reason why I would want a 360 perhaps Fable but I just prefer Sony and Nintendo (well I wish Nintendo would go back to 64 days) before Microsoft where the 360 only games get rather repetitive and boring after a while. Get PS3 trust you'll enjoy it more. From someone that's had every main gaming system (except dreamcast and PSP) since the original Nintendo (NES)

btw the controllers for both are the same with different shape and different names for the buttons. I find the ps3 controller more comfortable than the 360 controller

i have both. the only game i play on the xbox that ps3 doesnt have is left for dead...its the best zombie game their is....trust me dude...god of war is a must u have to get it. try getting both. i like halo. it is the best online multiplayer game their is. i just like the ps3 more only because of god of war...im a major fan of greek mythology. and to tell you the truth the ps3 graphics are only better on blu-ray. dont worry about graphics between these two. free online is a big help also tho soo that might be one of the biggest factors. i find the xbox360 controller alot better tho. the 360 slim is awesome too but like i said free internet and god of war3 is a must

i say the 360 cntroller is better because of the stick layout. with the ps3 u almost have to break ur thumbs. lol jk but yea xbox controller better

ps3 = hackers xbox 360 has halo and cod so i get an xbox360.. i had an ps3 but the hacking and stuff was too much free interent cool and all but playing ps3 like playing a pc games just too many hackers, ps3 did get hack for like 3 months or so.(xbox was still up so ur choice)

What are you talking about. Xbox 360 have hackers and moders too. Any kind of network ( psn,xboxlive,etc) can get hacked.

But anyways,

I perfer the ps3 over my xbox360. I like the fact that the ps3 has free online,plus Internet browsing (of course you need a cable or wifi to play online),blu-ray, and great graphics. Some Game developers had said the ps3 cell is to hard to work with and there's no way they could get great looking graphics out of it. Most developers that stayed with the ps3 said at first it was hard,but once they take their time on it the ps3 cell is the way to go (seeing uncharted 2 graphics). Now the developers that said they will never work on the ps3,are starting to and they are amazed by it.. The games I like for the ps3 is haverst moon,infamous (1-2), siren blood cures,and a few games I can't of right now..

Now for my xbox 360 I only play on it if my friends are on. What I like about the 360 is (most) games I play on it ( hate halo and GoW), graphics and that's it lol. The online is about the same as ps3, but have somewhat more games to buy on the xbox game store. Other then that the xbox360 had turned me away. I mean I don't care about the hacker or moder you find on both systems..but when my xboxs had the ring of death,it was disappointing. Now if my xbox only broke once then I wil say,whatever. But 2 of them had the rod. My first xbox had it,then I bought a new one, 6 months later that one had it.
I was able to get another one,but once in awhile it won't read my disc (just like my other ones started before the rod-_-) ps3 still going,no problems.

That's what I think of my console. It's up to you if you want to buy a ps3 or 360.. Ps. When you get it make sure you take care of your console. Clean it (don't take it apart or it becomes void) and play less . Any console can break.

I've got both.
I would say xbox is the better if you are looking for fun, multiplayer games like Halo or Gears.
The online social aspect is a lot better on xbox.
Where as PS3 is all about the amazing graphics, story-driven, single-player games.
Such as Metal Gear or God of War.

It all depends what you're looking for..

Where are you from? If you're in the US, PS3 is only $249 now. so I think that makes it cheaper

Ps3 is great and all but you have to wait for map packs and certain games to come out while xbox gets them first.

PS3 is great I had one and I really recommended but now I have an Xbox 360 since it has better games and the online is so awesome even though I have to pay for it but that is no problem for me (I have a job) in the PS3 the online is free but when I use to play online and use my computer at the same time it starts lagging and I hate that with the Xbox 360 that never happens to me, I prefer the Xbox 360 but any of these 2 consoles will be a great choice, but so far I like the Xbox 360 way more than the PS3.

Depends on your preferences mostly. I originally got a 360 years back so I just stuck with it (there's not much reason to have a PS3 and a 360), but if I was in your shoes and choosing one of the two now... well, I guess it comes down to this:

1. From what I know, the 360 has a better online experience (being able to chat with your friends without playing the same game, apparently a lot less hacking, and a few more great online games like Halo and Gears) as long as you're cool with putting out 60 bucks a year, which really isn't as bad as people tend to complain it is. Skipping out on buying one game a year for some great online gameplay isn't all that bad.

2. As far as games, you have Halo, Gears of War and Fable against God of War, Killzone, and Uncharted (just to name a few of the major games for both). Most games are going multi-platform lately, but these games, among others, you'll have to make a choice between which group appeal to you more.

3. If you're interested (most people, including myself, aren't) then there's Kinect vs Move. Both are mediocre at best, but from what I've seen, the Move is a bit better, even though Kinect seems to be doing better than it did at launch. That's something you'll probably have to wait another year before the major differences start showing up.

4. Blu-ray of course. This wasn't a huge deal for me since I'm not a big movie watcher and when I do watch stuff Netflix and/or my own DVD player are more than enough for me (and I don't have a problem using my Xbox for movies either) but some people have a strong preference to Blu-ray. And I guess going online (like internet browsing online) with the PS3 can be... cool? =/ It really seems like something that would probably appeal to you for the first week, but then you would never use it and just go back to switching between your console and your actual computer.

In other words, it's all about personal preferences. Mostly comes down to are you willing to pay for the better online system and quality and which games do you prefer. And do you want all of the small extra but sometimes ultimately unnecessary stuff that the PS3 has? I prefer Xbox, but they're both great consoles honestly. Xbox vs PS3 debates are stupid; either one is a good purchase.

I can't really think of anything else at the moment.
But for me, the Xbox will always be the better Console since it has games like Halo and Gears of War. Sure, the PS3 has Metal Gear Solid (God of War as well etc. . .) but that is going to be released for Xbox next year as well. (Rising and HD Collection...) I don't really care about paying for Xbox LIVE since you have way better online features like the Xbox LIVE Parties, up to eight people can be in one. The PS3 doesn't have such a thing.

I also prefer the Xbox because I want a gaming console, not a damn entertainment system. I don't care one bit about Blu-Rays.

But in the end - I wouldn't judge it or believe anything people say.
If more of your friends have an Xbox - Get the Xbox.
If more of your friends have a PS3 - Get the PS3.

And I really hate people who say "better graphics", better graphics my butt. Both consoles are almost the exact same except for some minor things. If you really want better graphics, get a damn PC - That's where real gaming is at.

if your friends have both and already have one a ps3 and your friend has a ps3 and xbox then get the xbox and if you have a xbox and your friend has the xbox and ps3 then get the ps3
