Controllers suck - My X360 charger gave out a year after I got it and my USB charger for the PS3 is still holding strong a year later. My wired 360 controller shorted out (recent) like 2 months after getting it.
Bad connection, at least in CoD

Xbox- better graphics for shooters
Controllers are comfy and last - Lol.

Microsoft doesn't get hacked
Kinect, if you're into that - You could have put Move up there (even though it's a blatant copy U_U)
$60 for a year of Live - Too expensive for my blood.

How is it a fail? The PS3 has far more things to offer than the Xbox360. The Xbox360 became out dated 2 years ago IMO while the PS3 is still going on strong.

PS3 IMO, I have both but I find 360 extremely boring, mainly because I only play COD and all my friends play on the PS3 and I hate paying to play online when I can for free.

But here's a list of pros and cons for both this list isn't the end all be all and a lot of people will disagree as is their right..

PS3 has a built in blu ray player that can play 3D Blu rays.

PS3 cannot upscale games to 1080p, but has excellent quality PS3 ORIGINAL games. All other games that are multi platform are usually made for XBox 360 and ported over to PS3.
PSN is free, but is down for maintenance a LOT.

The Playstation Plus service is the same price as Xbox Live. It will give you discounts on games and some older or cheap games for free each month on PSN. However, you can only play those games as long as you have the PS+.

In my opinion, people on PSN are much easier to beat than XBL, and XBL has much more people with mics. Upside and downside with mics.

PS3 games usually have huge update files, which Xbox 360 has like 3MB patches, unless it's a whole title update worth a gig.

Most new PS3 games require you to instal the game on the HDD before playing, which can take about a half hour (this is optional with 360).

I think the 360 Controller is the best for man hands. My thumbs constantly hit each other on the PS3's small controller with the two sticks right next to each other.
Both are wireless, but the PS3 controller comes with a USB to Mini-USB cable which charges the PS3 controller. 360 Controller needs two AA batteries or you can buy the rechargable battery pack.

PS3 can play a few PS1 discs. Xbox 360 can play a few Xbox Discs.

XBL has a nice set of Xbox Original and Xbox 360 Games in the store.

PS3 has like 5 PS2 games in PSN, which suck. It has quite a bit of PS1 games, which are great. There are also a few PS3, PS Minis (small games like Xbox Live Arcade), and PSP games.
You must have a PSP or PS Vita to play the PSP games you download.

Both systems have HDMI, Component, and Optical TOSLINK outputs.

PS3 only has two USB inputs, while the 360 has four.

I think the 360 has better exclusive games, but they're mainly shooters. Halo and Gears both have excellent stories too. God of War is a decent hack and slash with an epic story. Uncharted is decent, nothing great.

Cons: You'll be faced with updates at least 4-5 times in two months. Due to the online being free, it's less secure.


X360: It's there and more secure than the PS3.

-Ps3 can upscale to 1080p and has native 1080p games like Whipeout HD which is 1080p and 60fps.
-10-60mb updates are not huge =/
-PSN is down once a month for maintenance which is not a lot
-PS3 has over 20 PS2 games on the PSN and over 60 PS1 games
-Gears has a horrible story with poor writing. Which should come obvious. That is why Chuck Beaver(writer of the Dead Space games) says regarding Gears of War's story"It contains atrocious, offensive violations of story basics," he said. "Yet it doesn't seem to ruin it for many, many people. It's literally the worst writing in games, but seems to have no ill effects."
-Halo is quite good but it is the same game over and over again
-Uncharted 1 and 2 is amazing.(Uncharted 3 is ok)

The 360 is not bad. It has a few faults but it is a good console.

Most games on XBL are P2P connection just like on PS3. While PS3 exclusives generally have dedicated servers while Xbox 360 exclusives all have P2P servers like COD's. So it is false to say you have a better connection as it depends on the game.

The 360 only has IMO 4 good enough exclusives(not including Kinect games) which are Forza, Halo, Gears of War, and Trials Evo. While the PS3 has a huge variety of exclusive games which are mostly good. Some are bad like Lair. Of course you may like Halo so much that a dozen of great PS3 exclusives cannot match up to one game or maybe two xbox exclusives are so good that a dozen great PS3 exclusives cannot match up to them.

Both consoles are going strong in different aspects. The 360 in the USA has been selling more than the other three consoles but worldwide the PS3 is selling the most. Microsoft is still bringing out the same three exclusives every year(Forza, Gears and Halo) and people are still buying them while the PS3 brings out new games every year and people are buying them.

The PS3 is the better console as you get tons more for your money(and cheaper) but they both need replacing by new consoles. Which should of happened in 2011 but it looks more like 2014 before the PS3 and the 360 will be replaced.
