Misaka: Oh so there you are sensei!

Water in real life- a chemical substance composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom that are united by a covalent bond. It covers roughly 70% of the Earth and our bodies have approximately an average of 65% of water within them. Safe drinking water is essential for humans and other living organism.

Water in narutoverse- Water -or Suiton- is one of the five basic elements in the Naruto World. It is the manifestation or manipulation of a pre-existing body of water or a body of water that the user creates for a defensive or offensive purpose.

Water is strong against Fire because it extinguishes the flame, although a very strong Fire technique can cause evaporation. Of the five basic elements, there is no other one in which Water is specifically strong against. The cycle would be disrupted. However, water has two special relationships with Lightning and Wind. It is used in conjunction with Lightning so that the flow of electricity is increased, ultimately dealing more damage to the enemy. Additionally, it can be used with Wind to increase the overall damage of the Water technique.

Water is weak against Earth for the same reason a dam is effective against large bodies of water. There is no other basic element to which water is specifically weak against. The cycle would be disrupted.

Water is a component of the following Kekkai Genkais (Advanced Techniques): Ice, Wood, Storm, Boil.

Water is mainly an offensive technique, because most water techniques tend to damage from the impact they exert (or sudden force).

Water Release Users: Tobirama Senju, Kisame Hoshigaki and Suigetsu Hozuki.
Water Release Techniques: Water Dragon Bullet,Water Prison Technique and Demon Fish

I expected 2 elements for both. Water isn't strong against lightning nor wind. You can use advanced elements for this.

I never said Water was strong against lightning or wind, I said they had a special relationship.

Water is strong against Fire and Sand (or Bugs because you can drown them, also strong water attacks can handle Lava)

Although caught off guard, Misaka quickly concentrates and channels her chakra to reach her feet, making her able to stand on water. As soon as her sensei goes to look for the tools required to go onto the next step of her training, she sits down and begins to meditate on top of the pond that was just created. She begins to drift off into a concentrated, relaxed state of mind so she can feel the water and learn from it while she awaits her sensei.

Misaka: Etoo..that's a lot of paper ^^ Well, I learned a couple of things. From feeling the texture of the water I could tell it can be easily manipulated into numerous forms, making water a very versatile element used for both offensive and defensive techniques. Misaka: I don't quite understand what you mean by power. Isn't that what I told you already? (offensive, strong-weak, properties)

As for it's involvement in life, Misaka learned that water is essential for both humans and nature. Humans need it to hydrate themselves. It helps all types of plants, trees and animals grow and develop themselves up to their utmost potential. It helps them live. After all, Earth's surface is roughly covered by 70% water; there's a reason for that.

Alright, now we are going to practice changing our chakra nature with chakra control. I want you to take one of these chakra papers in between your index finger and middle finger. You will then focus on all the properties and abilities of water and then combine those properties of water into your chakra network and the chakra paper will react to your chakra, note you don't have to apply chakra to it, and become wet.
