Here's why Shin Army gets wrecked
Kabuto used Yamato to further enhance White Zetsu abilities which They are extremely durable, able to survive two of Sakura chakra-enhanced punches, as well as Neji Gentle Fist Art One Blow Body. Pretty sure White Zetsu can easily tanked Shin kunia&shirukens and weapons.
Shin army doesn't have fully evolved genetic that would withstand damage unlike Father Shin who was able to survive from Sakura punch.
All Zetsu are able to use the Mayfly technique to travel through surfaces for the purpose of spying undetected without leaving a trace. Then They can open their bodies in a Venus flytrap-like manner to surprise in order to trap their opponents and absorb their chakra. White Zetsu somehow able to entrapped Neji even though he has the Byakugan advantages which usually better than the sharingan user in terms of Insight and sensory capabilities.
Luckily Neji has the ability to breakout using one Body blow, if it were for Shin, they would be done for as they don't have any arsenal to escape with nor do they have anything to restrain with. His MS wouldn't do any good since he doesn't have any visual prowess other than giving maneuver.
Shin doesn't possessed Susanoo or any MS abilities that Sasuke, Itachi, and Madara has. His MS doesn't live up the hype.
