Take-Two has confirmed that WWE 2K14 will be released on October 29th. While only Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are currently listed, an earnings release notes that it will be published “across all major platforms and distribution channels.”
Following the dissolution of THQ in January, Take-Two acquired the rights to WWE in February and later announced it would be rebranded as WWE 2K14. So far, few details have been confirmed, but we do know The Rock will be on the cover.
According to Take-Two, WWE “will continue to be developed by Yukes in Japan” and “will combine the studio’s signature gameplay with 2K’s commitment to authenticity.”
Take-Two also noted today that catalog sales of WWE ’13, originally published under THQ, has “already contributed” to Take-Two’s financial results.
