wth? Why do you all assume Minato is fast?

What led you guys to assume hes fast?

minato has been shown and said to have god like reflexes which made the most of his FTG which is movement through space..

even minato shunshin was very fast :| you are crazy to go against something which has already been proven in the manga.. kishi clearly considers minato to be 'fast'

Look at the fight between Minato and Raikage. During the Raikage's fastest punch, Minato is able to see it in SLOW MOTION at the moment he is about to get punched.... THEN he uses FTG afterwards!!! This means EXTREMELY FAST REFLEXES (dare I say, KKG?) that are seperate from his instant transmission S/T Jutsu.

Says who? You? The fourth raikage uses his lightning armour to become insanely fast. That is also a technique just as FTG is. Lee and Gai opens up gates and that make them both incredibly fast, this doesn't change the fact that they both use techniques to acheive their speed.

The definition of speed or being fast is the amount it time it takes to move X distance. Instantaneous is pretty damn quick.

This. When Minato caught baby Naruto it could have honestly been just a body flicker... but when he watched top speed Raikage paused in super slow speed directly in his face... thats INSANELY FAST REFLEXES never displayed by any shinobi, period.

That's how I feel, he and Obito don't have speed.. It's teleportation, real speed is like the Raikage and I guess Itachi and Sasuke are pretty fast as well.

Minato's base speed is also awesome and its fast.

Have you forgotten how Minato took out 3 Jounin level cloud ninja's its was just his base speed and nothing more because strength wise the cloud ninja's were stronger and only advantage Minato had was his speed
