Wtf.... *** age in india has increased to 18 yrs from 14yrs. It was 14 yrs till 2004, 16 yrs till noon and now 18yrs.
Means if you have *** with someone below 18 it will be called rape even if she/he is willing. THATS A TOTAL SH@T.
Bangladesh and many others countries have age of concent 14yrs. They should inc it too...
Japan has 13yrs. Cambodia 12-14yrs.

Doesn't it depend on how old the oldest partner is?
Here, the law states that you can legally have *** when you're sixteen, but if the partner is older than eighteen, then both have to legally wait until the youngest is eighteen. Otherwise it is called statutory rape. Of course if both consent and nobody knows about it, then the oldest can't be arrested.

It's probably increased to protect the teenagers more - at least that's what I assume. At eighteen you're considered an adult in most countries, so that has maybe something to do with it as well.

In Alabama (US), you can married at 14 years old even with an older prson, but they will have to stay in that state when they have *** with them or else they get arrested as a *** offender (or rapist) if they go to another state despite being married. The US is trying to enforce their ideals on the rest of the world. Anyway, it's not protection when the person made a final decision. Let's just realistic and call it population downsizing which is what it really is.
