Why is Amegakure the only village that is industrialized? Through out the series and movies we see other places that has also become industrialized as well. But why is Konoha digressing? Even though Konoha rebuilt after the pain arc, it is still pretty much hut like buildings, why is this? Would someone like to take a shot at explaining?

P.s. Did you realize that Amegakure is pretty much a slum, is this a metaphor Kishi placed in the series on purpose? To much progression can be poisonous and all that...

Kishi probably wants to keep the environment traditional for the sake of the series. He made Amegakure like that so it would be a distinguished place from every other place.

Honestly, I'd rather have humble environments for a story about ninjas, rather than industrialized, modern buildings.

I wasn't over thinking anything. When you read a good book you don't just focus on the most important information, its art, therefore you take in account all that was printed, otherwise why read it at all? You might as well read a newspaper.

It could be symbolic of the decadence brought forth by over-industrialization and capitalist greed which is a worrisome phenomena in today's fast-paced techno centric society.

Maybe Kishi is commenting on industrialisation and its effect: Konoha is presented as an ideal village and a producer of loyal citizens and shinobi.
Context wise, the Japanese have believed in the idea of wabi-sabi (the beauty of imperfection and nature) for absolutely ages. So, possibly, that has influenced Kishi.
