It didn't look a mistake at all to me. It looks like he's just moving his shoulder and arms within the coat? It's a coat like the one Sasuke is wearing, and not like suigetsu's which has a sleeve that outlines the arms. Unlike him, Sasuke and Orochimaru move their arms within the coat.
